Posted by On September 19th I will be challenging the existing Maryland S-N cross state record of 139 miles (222km) . The current record is 8h8min and average speed of 16.97 Mph ( 27.31 km/h). The 33 stop signs and 19 Traffic Lights will slow me down a bit but worse at the moment is the headwind prediction. This will make it more interesting.

Updates during the event
The attempt will once again be in support of the non-profit “One in 8 Foundation” . They help women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. Just like during Virtual Race Across the West. We are 1/4 into my goal of $10 000
You may ask why Bulgaria and why breast cancer? I was born in Bulgaria and my mother lost the battle with breast cancer there.
Furthermore, I know that in Bulgaria, there is such organization like the “One in 8 Foundation” and they need our support now! Their national mobile support program “Soul sisters” is doing awesome job by providing free testing, materials and supplies to those in need
